It was not a dream... by Alexis

My parents split up when i was 7 years old, and before that they were always fighting and my dad would always sleep on the couch in the living room. Me, my 2 brothers and my sister use to sleep in the same room and witht he door open (for some stupid reason we thought having the door open was safer and less scary...LOL). When I was 6 years old, I woke up at around 11ish hearing footsteps (our floor was tiled). I looked outside of my bedroom. It was pitch black. I got out of my bed running walking to the lounge room in-search of my dad. I walked in and looked around at all of the couches. No-one was there. Then I felt a gust of freezing cold wind, even though all of the windows were closed and it was summer. I turned around and took one step. I all of a sudden fell to the floor and had a massive headache. I looked up and the whole room began to glow a red, then green, then pink color, and as I stared at the wall, little shapes of numbers showed up. It just kept on counting from 1 - 10, over and over again. I hobbled over to the kitchen and started running through it (it was like a long corridor with a big bench in the middle of it). Then I felt the wind again. I turned around and saw a black shadow on the other side of the kitchen. As soon as I looked at it, i felt really dizzy and slow, then i started to sweat. I started running to my room and hit a cupboard with a big lock on it. Seriously, I had never seen that cupboard in my life! and it was where my room was meant to be! scary stuff aye? Then I woke up in the morning on the floor infront of my room door. And the door was closed. Firstly, we never close our door and no-one would ever close the room door. And secondly... Big cupboard with a lock on it? I don't get it? That was the scariest moment in my life. The scary thing is, that when I told my brother this, he told me that he experienced the same thing but his was the night before it happened to me...

The twins by Kmart

All of this is true, if you don't believe me, thats u.One day Adam, Andrea, Jason, and I were at Andea's lakehouse for a few weeks in Georgia. All of us were exhausted from the 13 hour ride to the state yet we all had plenty of energy to take a boat ride to a little place in the woods. We got there and met a bridge that went across a small river. In the river, was a trycicle. It looked like it was brand new. You could see a little circle of flowers a few yards away with a standing cross in the middle. We jogged up there quickly to see. It turned out to be a grave. On the grave were also two twin baby dolls beneath the cross facing there heads down. In the middle was a little tiny skeleton key. Jason started joking around saying stupid stuff about what it's all there for. About a half an hour later we walked back across the river's bridge. But this time, the trycicle wasn't there. There was no waves or anything so it couldn't have gone anywere. We even checked underneath the bridge, nothing. We walked back to doublecheck on anything weird. No skeleton key this time... W*E*I*R*D... We walked back and fourth. Json had secretly put the skeleton key in his pocket the last time we went. I don't think it was to frea anyone out, he was probably interested in it. We looked back beneath the bridge, and there lay the trycicle. But this time, it only had two wheels, the front wheel was mising. We were all a little freaked. We walked back to the baby dolls and now saw them facing up!!! We all freaked out and Jason ut the key back where he found it. We went back to the lakehouse and waited until the next day to o back. We saw everything back to normal. Exceot now, the trycicle was on the bridge! The front wheel was on it perfectly. The dolls were gone and we swore to ourselves we'd never comeback...

The Cowboy by Cat

When i was about 7 years old my brother had a room right next to a bathroom. Every night he would be woken up to sounds of water running or the cabinets opening and closing. When he told me and the rest of the family about it nobody beleived him so i decided to stay in there with him and yet again WE BOTH heard it so we went in and saw a blueish greenish (transperant sort of color) cowboy staning in the bathrooms closet door. Then another night I slept in there again because i couldn't beleive it and i thought it was a bad dream we heard footsteps running all through the attick and we once again went up and we saw the sam figure standing once again in a door of a closet. Me and my brother both think it was our grandfather because he was a couwboy but when we moved wouldn't it of followed us if it was our grandfather? or was it just a spirit that wanted us out of the house?

The haunted halloween house by Marianne et Rachel

"Come on kids!" screamed my mom as i was putting on the finishing touch of my make-up. This year for halloween i was a Dead Cheer-leader with an Axe and a Chainsaw in my head. I quickly hurried down the stairs and took my bag from my mom to go meet my friends over at the shut down gas station. When i got there my friend Jenna said that all of us were going to go to that creepy old haunted house down on Foster Ave. I didn't want to go but if i didn't i would have to go trick-or-treating with my little brother who was dressed as a horses butt for halloween this year. So i tagged along, we got there with Jenna, Cody, Corey, Bob, Rachel, Samantha, Laura, Summer. We started arguing on who would go in first. Then i just said, " UGH ! guys you are all babies!" so i stepped in and Jenna followed in with me and the rest came after her. When i entered it was really dark and i smelled an odd un-fimiliar smell. I looked over to my left and i saw a basket filled with Dead crows. It smelled really disgusting. We kept walking on and saw this big hallway. We walked on and went up this big stair case. We turned a corner and saw 6 Black doors and and at the end of the hall i we saw a red fainted light. Jenna ran over to the door and saw a cat and an old lady sitting on a rocking chair ; going back and forth. it was the scariest halloween ever !

Okay so i was visting my mom in st louis and she lives in apartments right .. and she was taking a shower and her mirror in the bathroom fogs up whjen ur oin there . and when she got outt there was writing on the mirror and we couldnt figure out what it said exactly but we think it said . leave . it was creepy then the next day it was night time and me and my mom were doing laundry and she iopened the dry and we seen an electrical shock through the middle of the air and theres no possible way that can happen .. also me my mom and her boyfriend were sitting in her room and we just got this relli cold drift and we felt like someone wwas in there with us so we had top lleave the apartment and go somewhere so we went to block buster and got scary movies . and we came back na dstatrted watching mr.jingles (scary clown movvie) and then all ovf a sudden the power goes out .. creepppppy

This helper who came into my classroom told us what happened to her. We were putting up decorations for my teachers birthday party, and she told us of when she met bloody mary. One of her friends went into the bathroom and started screaming. She the helper,Ms. B, went into the bathroom and she started running and flipped over the bed. she opened her eyes and she saw bloody mary coming out of the bathroom smiling. she pointed at Ms. B and said, "YOU!" After that, she never saw Bloody Mary again. I've never done because i get scared easily. :D

That was one night I would never forget. The night we found the rom in the attic. We didn't go up there again until we were through with all the footsteps and other odd noises. We got home from Georgia and back to Michigan late, 9:30 p.m. to be exact. We heard too many sounds from the mystery attic room to ignore so we decided to explore it. We were looking in the room before we entered. It was filled with hay and insalation. That's all. No people. No shadows. Just hay and insalation. I looked next to the door we entered through. There lay a little skeleton key. I grabbed it and showed my brother, who was the one brave enough to come with e, only 2 years older than me. He snatched it out of my hands and observed it. Somehow, he knew exactly what to do, he walked across the hay room and pushed over one of the haytacks. There was a humongous mirror and he set it carefully on the ground. Behind that was a little door. He put the key in the keyhole and opened the door. Next, he went in the room and motioned me to come with him. I slowly followed him. In this room, it was clean and all. We heard little kid footsteps running around. Suddenly we heard laughs and childlike screams of happiness. As soon as the door closed behind us we saw another door open across the room. Nothing came out, so we kicked and punched the door we entered in. No one heard us. We tured around to see a big shadow, tall and thin. 6 feet even. My brother and I had an adrenalin rush big enough to kick the door down and run downstairs to tell my mom and dad. We never did figure out what had happened for these ghost like creatures to enter our house. We let it be and figured that if they hadnt hurt any of us yet, they never would...

Ok, this is a tru story, well, i was comin home one night after goin 2 the theatre, and in the night i gt thirsty so i went downstars to get a drink. when i was in the kitchen all the lites went out, and there was this horible screaming, and i turned around and there was this girl about 9 yers old, and her arm was burnt and it showed her knockin the kettle onto her arm and burning through her flesh and she is screamin. well i was well scred, so i ran upstairs and hid under my bed next day when i went 2 skl my mate said the girl down her road had a disease and it was painful and before she died she scolded herself with the kettle the night before. when people sleep round mine they can hear the cursed screaming from down stairs- seriouslyt i was like, well scared!!

Mystery Shadow by Kate

Late January in Florida, my brother, Adam, and I decided to go for a long jog. My brother is 16 amd he sure knows hoe to take care of himself. We went through a park called Faraway and sarted to mess around on the little tunnel. I got on top of the tunnel and stood on it to look for Adam who had suddenly dissapeared. "Adam!!" I called out. "Okay the jokes over!!! You can come out now!!" I waited a few long seconds. It got very quiet very quickly. Then I heard footsteps stomping against the dirt. I turned around and saw no one there. I sat on the tunnel for a little longer and didn't here anything. Then the same thing happened this time except the steps were louder and sounded like the source of them as furious. I started to get scared and figured Adam would come llater. When I was halfway home, someone was standing in front of a house. Just a sillouette though. I looked closer and saw just the darkness of a shadow. So I thought I mustjust be seeing things. But then, the shadow started running after me with the same steps. Loud. Mad. Fast. I ran as fast as I could home with aghost behind me. I never saw Adam again. But for some reason I dont think this is the end of the story.
